Are there restrictions on baggage pieces
allowed?
Each passenger (except infants up to 2 years) can check in items
of baggage up to a combined weight of 20kg – no less than
is allowed by traditional airlines! If you happen to exceed this
limit, you will just be charged a supplement per flight. In total,
usually a maximum of 50 kg per person can be conveyed.
What do I need in order to check in?
Germanwings is a ticketless airline. That means that all you need
is your booking reference and valid identity document. Make sure
you check well in advance of your flight whether you need a visa
or other entry document in order to enter the country to which
you are flying. The consulate will be able to provide you with
this information.
Are food and drink available on board?
It has become a ritual: no sooner has the aircraft reached cruising
altitude than the seat-belt lights are extinguished and stomachs
start to rumble.
Germanwings flight attendants are immediately on hand to offer
you a range of refreshing snacks at attractive prices:
fresh sandwiches, tasty nibbles, hot or cold drinks – the
choice is yours!
Snacks can be paid for in cash (€) or if they come to a
total of €30 or more with a credit card (Visa/Eurocard).
