Iceland Express History
Iceland Express started operations in 2003, becoming the first Icelandic low-fare airline. From the beginning they have had daily flights connecting Reykjavík with London Stansted and Copenhagen, and in May 2005 they added three flights a week to Frankfurt Hahn.

Since the arrival of Iceland Express on a market dominated by one airline, prices have dropped dramatically on their routes. Iceland Express now carry close to 300 000 passengers a year — more than the entire population of Iceland.
